Project Diaspora for Desh

Project Diaspora for Desh is a youth-focused initiative addressing the challenges of migration driven education and career choices among young Nepalis. Targeting students and teachers across Bagmati, Lumbini, and Gandaki provinces, the project connects global Nepali professionals and returnees with local communities through virtual mentorship and in-person storytelling. Diaspora mentors provide real-life guidance to help students explore career pathways rooted in agency rather than escapism, while teachers receive training in creative pedagogy, mental health, and AI-enhanced tools. By promoting the belief that success can be achieved through leadership and local engagement, Diaspora for Desh encourages brain circulation over brain drain and supports youth leadership and diaspora collaboration.
