Suchit

About the Project

Project Suchit empowers youth to counter misinformation and use the Right to Information (RTI) effectively. Through hands-on RTI workshops, a chatbot for guidance and fact-checking, and engaging digital content, the project simplifies civic learning and promotes accountability in the digital age.

Overall CEP Experience

Youth
Our Project Suchit was rooted in a shared mission: to address youth vulnerability to misinformation and low awareness of the Right to Information (RTI) in Nepal. We designed a project that simplified RTI access and built critical thinking through practical workshops, engaging content, and a user-friendly chatbot. Bringing this vision to life came with challenges—coordinating with stakeholders, ensuring inclusive outreach, and overcoming skepticism, especially around the chatbot’s usefulness. But with strong teamwork, adaptability, and constant communication, we navigated these hurdles effectively. What made the experience truly meaningful was engaging with youth from diverse, often marginalized, backgrounds—from Kathmandu to Surkhet—who began to see RTI as a tool they could use. Their growing confidence in fact-checking and information-seeking reaffirmed the project’s impact. Project Suchit showed us the power of youth-led action and how digital tools, when made accessible, can create lasting change.

Shift in education requires mindset, not just resources
